Pizzeria Del Forestiero — Restaurant in Syracuse

The eatery is a real treasure. a little bit away from the tourist district. We arrived a little early (by Italian standards) at 8 p.m. and were given a table right away. We requested recommendations when we arrived and then had the seafood spaghetti and pizza capricciosa. They were both mouthwateringly good.

We also purchased a half-liter of wine for three euros, which was alright. but it was a fair value for the cost.

More locals began to arrive around 9:30 o'clock at which point it became really lively. If you're looking for a real Syracuse family restaurant, I would highly recommend this one.

Very genuine old school pizzas with perfect size (not too big) and price (startin from 5 or 6 Euros). Nice and polite personel, friendly atmosphere. Pizzas very good both for the pasta as for the quality of the products. The only issue experienced just the second time: the door of the female bathroom doesn't have a lock, and there was no water in the sink apart from the one of the female bathroom, so you need to go from one room to another...

I give 5 stars because I think this was as genuine a sicilian pizza place as it gets. The pizza delicious from the wood oven and it was clearly a local hangout.
