This is more or less my local gelateria, especially given the number of times I’ve been there. The hardest part of visiting here is deciding what flavours to have. There are all the traditional ones and some truly unique ones too. Although my preference is for the more traditional flavours, which are always excellent, I like to mix it up with something more adventurous. Benvenuti al sud is a cocktail of Sicilian fruits and nuts and definitely worth trying. Some of the others are truly for the golosoni. Read moreBest gelato in the world!!! I used to like ice cream in general... but now I never enjoy it anymore anywhere else than at Gelateria Mastro Gelataio in Siracusa!! No ice cream tastes as real and full of flavour as here! The gelato is made with the best ingredients and - most importantly - with passion & love!!! That makes the difference! It is always such a pleasure going back to this place! Besides the amazing ice cream, the staff is the friendliest and are so sweet! We can’t wait to go back again! I am Dutch and my husband is Italian, also for him these are the most delicious ice cream & granitas he has EVER tried!! Our favourites are the ricotta ice cream / granita, pistache from Bronte ice cream / granita, as well as the vegan sugar-free hazelnut and pistache ice cream that is made with olive oil (instead of dairy!!). We will be back soon!! Thank you Mastro Gelataio for always exceeding our...

Lots of amazing dairy free gelatos - lemon, chocolate, and pistachio with olive oil were all spectacular and the almond granita was heavenly. The people working there are so kind, (completely fluent in English) and are great at giving recommendations which helps indecisive people like me. Come here if you are at all within walking or driving distance, your taste buds (and wallet!)...
