My wife and I had the pleasure of finding this absolutely beautiful Vineyard in Trecastagni. From the moment the gate opened we were in awww. The premises is very well kept and they have a beautiful space. Walking in you see the Beautiful Barrel entry ways that lead to an amazing history of time and wine making tools, pictures. Once you walk into the Dining area and yard. Its simply Gorgeous. The place where you would want to have your wedding. The staff Elisa and Gino were very welcoming polite and knowledgeable. They helped us pick some of the favorites on the menu and they did not disappoint. We started with a piece of Sicilian culture compliments of Chef. It was a small jar of ricotta cheese and olive and seasoning with a slice of bread and a grilled Scallion. With the wine we ordered the Vulken it was delicious. Next came out an Arancini with creamy lemon sauce that we kept dipping our table bread into as well as a Tar tar that contained so many different flavors your mouth and mind tried to figure them all out. From a wild local strawberry to nuts and cheeses on the tar tar were very nice. Excited for the next course I ordered Grampas sauce and my wife ordered a tagliatelle pasta with a red sauce. Desert was a nice soft pastry with wild strawberries and at the end they gave a desert wine and some sesame cookies that were light and sweet. This was our 6th winery visit on the island and was our most enjoyable by far. If your close or passing by Nicosia’s of Trecastagni. Get ready to relax feel very welcomed enjoy your meal and experience....
Read moreGreat experience! We did the tour with 4-course lunch and wine-tasting. Interesting wines (white, rosé, red & dessert), great Sicilian food (also really nice alternative courses for kids: easy on kids, but great quality!) and fantastic atmosphere and setting. The cantina is set in a lovely garden that invites to stay and linger. Locals seem to come just for the wine&4-course lunch and partially skip the tour. :) Makes sense! 50€ for a fine wine & dine is worth coming just for a nice lunch (kids pay half). I‘d do it every other weekend if I lived here! And they have fantastic staff! Super friendly, highly motivated. Everyone was even offered a second serving of the amazing risotto and also of the red wine, so nobody goes home hungry or thirsty. Plan 3-4 hours for this wonderful extended lunch, because you‘ll not be...
Read moreWe visited the winery last week and the tour there was extraordinary! We had some difficulty finding the winery, and Chiara and her team helped us with directions from the phone call all the way until our arrival. Sommelier Chiara is simply delightful. She was extremely attentive during our tour (speaking Italian slowly since we’re not fluent), explaining all the details and stories of the winery, and she turned our visit into one of the best we’ve ever had. She also explained the wines, and her service was impeccable. Another very positive detail was the food at the restaurant, the chef was excellent, perfectly pairing amazing dishes with the winery’s wonderful wines. We felt at home, and the place is beautiful. Totally...
