Paolino 848 — Restaurant in Trentinara

DE: Meine Freundin und ich sind online über die Wine-Bar gestolpert und haben uns entschieden im Rahmen einer längeren Italien-Reise 3 Nächte in Trentinara zu verbringen.

Nachdem man ca. 20 min mit dem Auto bergauf fährt, kommt man bei Paolino 848 an und kann an einem nahegelegenen Parkplatz parken, der in der Regel frei ist. Empfangen wurden wir von einem der vielen Familienmitglieder, die in der Bar involviert sind. Zwar wird hier nur Italienisch gesprochen, aber mit Geduld, Händen und Füßen, sowie reichlich Herzlichkeit funktioniert die Verständigung.

Wir waren in der "Stanza di Paolino" untergebracht, einem schnuckligem Zimmer in der Straße der Wine Bar, welches in authentischem Oldschool-Flair eingerichtet ist. Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich, die Einrichtung der Küche jedoch spartanisch. Geräusche von Außen waren zwar hörbar, aber hielten sich im Rahmen. Einmal ist kurzzeitig das fließende Wasser ausgefallen, was jedoch die gesamte Region betraf und die Familie hat sich in der Zwischenzeit sehr schnell und gut um uns gekümmert.

Glasklares Highlight (und der Grund für die Reise) war das kulinarische Erlebnis! Angefangen von dem üppigen Frühstück, das liebevoll jeden Tag zubereitet und im Wohnzimmer der Wine Bar gegessen wird. Es enthält einen Mix aus lokalen, italienischen Spezialitäten, Gebäck, Cremes, Joghurt, Kaffee und kann individuell angepasst werden. Außerdem wechselt es täglich leicht. Ein absoluter Genuss!

Abends waren wir (insofern offen) in der Wine Bar und konnten dort Snacks und kleinere Speisen (Polpette, Focaccia) essen, sowie unterschiedliche Weine verkosten. Speisen und Getränke waren erstklassig und der Charme des Ambientes ist einzigartig. An einem Abend, an dem die Bar geschlossen hatte, konnten wir uns Snacks und Getränke auf das Zimmer bestellen.

Insgesamt waren wir die Reise ein absolutes Highlight und wir kommen gerne wieder. Die ganze Familie besticht durch ihre Herzlichkeit und auch die Preise sind in Anbetracht des Services absolut fair.

ENG: My girlfriend and I stumbled across the wine bar online and decided to spend 3 nights in Trentinara as part of a longer trip to Italy.

After driving uphill for about 20 minutes, you arrive at Paolino 848 and can park in a nearby parking lot, which is usually free.

We were greeted by one of the many family members who are involved in the bar. Although only Italian is spoken here, communication works with patience, hands and feet, and plenty of warmth.

We stayed in the "Stanza di Paolino", a cute room in the street of the wine bar, which is decorated in an authentic old-school flair. The room was clean and comfortable, but the kitchen was spartan. Noises from outside were audible, but kept to a minimum. Once the running water went out for a short time, but this affected the entire region and the family looked after us very quickly and well in the meantime.

The highlight (and the reason for the trip) was the culinary experience! Starting with the sumptuous breakfast, which is lovingly prepared every day and eaten in the living room of the wine bar. It contains a mix of local, Italian specialties, pastries, creams, yogurt, coffee and can be customized. It also changes slightly every day. An absolute delight!

In the evening we went to the wine bar (as long as it was open) and were able to eat snacks and smaller dishes (polpette, focaccia) there, as well as taste different wines. The food and drinks were first class and the charm of the ambience is unique. On one evening when the bar was closed, we were able to order snacks and drinks to our room.

Overall, the trip was an absolute highlight and we would be happy to come back. The whole family impresses with their warmth and the prices are absolutely fair considering...

Siamo state ospiti di Paolino a Giugno decidendo di trattenerci sia per l'aperitivo sia utilizzando le loro camere per passare la notte. Purtroppo però appena rientrate in camera abbiamo dovuto fare i conti con un problema di infestazione da blatte. Nonostante l'accoglienza iniziale sia stata calorosa e l'atmosfera sia risultata piacevole, questo inconveniente ha seriamente compromesso la qualità della nostra esperienza. Al nostro rientro dalla serata in camera abbiamo trovato numerose blatte sia sui muri che sul pavimento. Il problema è stato immediatamente segnalato a Rosaria la quale, nonostante la disponibilità iniziale a risolverlo, ha adottato una soluzione che si è rivelata totalmente inadeguata. L'utilizzo di un semplice gel anti-insetti non è stato sufficiente a risolvere il problema e le blatte hanno continuato ad uscire per tutta la notte, tenendoci sveglie sino all'alba con un clima tutt'altro che vacanziero. Nonostante la gravità della situazione e l'enorme disagio ci siamo mostrate al momento dell'arrivo di Rosaria molto comprensive (e non era affatto scontato). Nonostante ciò, ci aspettavamo una proposta alternativa o almeno, la mattina seguente la presenza dello staff per appurare soprattutto se la soluzione adottata si fosse rivelata adeguata. Tutto ciò non è accaduto anzi, dopo le nostre rimostranze, siamo state addirittura accusate di concentrarci solo sull'aspetto economico dell'increscioso episodio senza cogliere il vero spirito di Paolino e di dover manifestare il nostro disappunto la notte precedente....eppure mi sembra che la camera sia stata pagata in modo puntuale e in anticipo e non offerta secondo quello spirito...L'unica cosa certa che questa storia ci ha insegnato è che se decidessimo di passare un altro weekend a Trentinara sicuramente...

This place is fantastic! We got the tip from our friend and are so happy we took the 40 min drive. If you are ever in the region I highly recommend you to go there.

We did a typical aperitivo and the food with it was incredible!!!! The owner is such a sweet person and a great host.

We were 5 people and had a drink each and I even had two 😁 (it was my birthday) and we ate a lot and it cost us only 80.00 EUR. Totally worth it!!!

They also have their homemade truffle honey and it was so good and unexpected.
