Wow! What a fabulous and delicious meal we had here with most amazing views imaginable. This osmiza is situated at the edge of Contovello overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Trieste. The food offering as is typical for osmizas includes locally produced and typical for the region cured meats and cheeses of impeccable taste and quality. The portions are huge so look forward to a feast. The locally made wines offered round out this fun culinary outing very well.

Staying nearby we just walked there in minutes and I loved the fact that visitors either parked a bit away or took public transit (Trieste Transit bus 42 has a stop nearby, bus 44 has a stop only 10 walking minutes away - both buses leave from...

Mi spiace dover mettere questo voto ma l’unica cosa da salvare è la bella vista.

Compleanno a metà giugno, caldo torrido, 30 persone.

Chiedo di essere messo in ombra (le zone dove si stava bene erano sotto gli alberi). Prenotato 2 settimane prima.

Arrivo.. e mi mettono sotto i tendoni dove purtroppo c’è l’effetto cappa che fa “sudare” tutti i presenti e purtroppo si è pure sentita male una ragazza.

Gli chiedo di farmi spostare (visto che tutti i tavoli erano ancora quasi tutti vuoti) e il signore e le ragazze sapevano solo dire “mi dispiace”.. con accento sloveno..facendomi intendere come se non capissero quello che avessi detto. Mancanza di comprensione della lingua? Non lo so.. il signore sorrideva e sembrava prendermi per i fondelli.. sembrava facesse “orecchie da mercante”.. o forse era “brillo”??!

Io non giudico, ma avendo speso parecchi soldi, pretendo un certo interessamento da parte di chi gestisce. Sennó vado alla despar e me ciogo formaggi e salumi e me fazo solo el rebechin.

Cibo troppo costoso per essere un’osmiza (per 5 vassoi e un po’ di vino, mi è sembrato di essere in un ristorante stellato).

Purtroppo da festeggiato ero piu al bancone che alla festa, causa mancanza di servizio al tavolo (non sapendo quando sarebbero stati pronti o meno i taglieri). Mancanza di personale e conseguente lentezza nel gestire il tutto.

Bene per i turisti. Malissimo per i triestini.
