Pineta Pizza Club — Restaurant in Trieste

Servizio lentissimo. Terrible service. 2 hours to get a pizza. Read the other reviews, and you will find review after review after review reporting wait times of 90 minute to 2 hours or even more for a pizza, so it was not a one-off bad experience for us, it is a systematic failure of organisation.

I stopped going to this place years ago because of the slow service and ended up their today as the choice of a friend. Things haven't improved in the meantime. Took 35 minutes to place our order. When eventually our order was taken we were told the delay was because it wasn't clear who is responsible to serve on the terrace (!) then as one person ordered a starter and asked if their secondo could be delayed, they used that for the excuse that is took a further 50 minutes for the pizza to arrive. (the table next to us also waited an hour for their pizza). When the pizza arrived we asked for olio piccante and another beer. After 10 minutes we asked again. Both eventually arrived when the pizza was already finished. Total time between arriving and receiving the pizza was 90 minutes. This is a local.place. Nice terrace with view to park and see in background.Not pretentious. Food is also not pretentious but it is so good. Plain and simple noting fancy but amaizing pizza. 3 pages of choice and I belive everyone is ridiculously good. We had 3 different pizzas and all 3 where superb. Even my child has eaten almost all pie which never happens. Staff is very nice and very welcoming although they speak no English but they do not need to as almost all guests are local. !!!ATTENZIONE!!! La pizzeria Fonda non esiste più, adesso si chiama Pineta Pizza Club e trattasi di una Pizzeria Gourmet quindi le pizze sono realizzate con ingredienti di ottima qualità, dal prosciutto che è un ottimo Praga alla mozzarella fior di latte strepitosa. Chiaramente la qualità si paga, 4 pizze, 1 pizza mini, 4 lattine di Coca Cola e un litro d'acqua naturale 70 euro. Prezzi piuttosto alti rispetto alla media ma in linea con la fascia Gourmet. Se per le pizze e gli ingredienti usati il prezzo può ritenersi congruo, lo stesso nn si può dire per le bibite, 3 euro per una lattina da 33cl di Coca mi sembra davvero esagerato. Il vero neo di questa pizzeria sono i tempi di attesa, prenotato il tavolo alle 20:30, ordine completo effettuato alle 20:40, pizze in tavola 21:40. Evitate di andarci se avete figli piccoli in quanto anche il bambino più bravo ed educato del mondo, dopo 20 minuti inizia a spazientirsi, dopo un'ora di attesa, con fame e voglia di pizza, diventa una bestia di satana. Tutto questo trasforma quella che dovrebbe essere una piacevole serata in un disagio per i bimbi e uno stress per i genitori. Alla mia lamentela sui tempi mi è stato detto, sempre in modo molto cordiale, che in quella occasione avevano solo un pizzaiolo e che cercavano di fare il possibile fra tavoli e asporto. Posso comprendere ma viste le altre recensioni vedo che i lunghi tempi di attesa non sono occasionali, inoltre, se sai che quella sera avrai un solo pizzaiolo vedi di limitare le prenotazioni al tavolo e le comande per asporto. Una buon servizio è fatto da tante piccole cose: Qualità dei cibi, pulizia del locale, personale attento e cordiale, prezzi coerenti e tempi di attesa umani. Questa pizzeria ha quasi tutto, sapevo dove andavo e conoscevo i prezzi ma un'ora di attesa con un conto di 70 euro non è rispettoso nei confronti del cliente. Ci tornerò? Probabilmente si ma...
