Trattoria Al Sub — Restaurant in Trieste

One of those rare gems that you find only every once in a while. At our arrival, we told the gentleman (I believe the owner) that we speak no Italian. He told us, he doesn’t speak English. Yet he patiently explained us everything on the menu in the best way he could possibly do. All that without rushing us, investing the time to make sure we understand the menu. Such humility is a rare trait nowadays, especially in gastronomy. The food itself was 10/10 and the fish dishes were absolutely perfect.
