Ristorante Le Vele — Restaurant in Trieste

Although the location of the venue is truly beautiful and was the reason we chose it, our experience on the night of June 28th was unfortunately a complete disappointment.

Before it was even 9:00 PM, the waiter repeatedly came to our table, rushing us in a very impolite and careless manner, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. On top of that, his bossy and unpleasant attitude towards the young female staff member assisting him was equally disturbing and unacceptable.

The indoor area was also poorly ventilated and had a strong, unpleasant body odor, making it difficult to enjoy our time there.

What made this experience even more frustrating is that just two days earlier, we had spent a lovely evening at the venue’s mini bar and were very pleased. The contrast between these two visits was stark, and unfortunately, the poor service on this occasion completely changed our opinion of the establishment.

I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues so that future guests do not face the same...

Als Hotelgäste im selben Haus mussten wir am ersten Abend mit dem Kellner diskutieren, damit wir ohne vorherige Reservierung essen durften, obwohl das Restaurant halbleer war. Bei diesem Kellner kein Wunder! Denn am nächsten Tag musste ich mit dem Kellner diskutieren, damit mein Sohn gegen 21 Uhr noch zum Essen ins Restaurant durfte, obwohl Küchenschluss offiziell mehr als eine halbe Stunde später um 21:30 war. Die einzigen Worte des Kellners nach dem raschen Essen waren dann: "Genug, fertig?!" Unfreundlich mag ein Kellner mal sein, aber einen derart abweisenden und präpotenten Kellner habe ich noch nie erlebt. Andere Hotelgäste haben Entsprechendes berichtet! Nach zwei Tagen haben wir das "Hotelrestaurant" gemieden, und es war absolut richtig! Andernorts war das Essen mindestens genauso gut, reichlicher, und die Leute waren super nett bzw. wurde man zumindest...

Service was good, place was very busy and booked to where they had to turn customers away. I would skip this restaurant next time. Less than average quality food. Scallop risotto was gritty and salmon and eggplant was not good at all....
