Avoid if you have any dietary requirements (particularly gluten free) - I was treated the worst I’ve ever been treated in Italy. When we made our reservation we were told we had to book for an early time slot otherwise they wouldn’t have time to make gluten free dishes (should have been a red flag). When we ordered entrées they brought me eggplant parmigiana to the table then suddenly took it away saying actually it wasn’t gluten free after all. Since I then had no starter, I asked if I could have some cheese & salami to try (while my partner had his starter). They brought me this and charged me €30 for it (double what anywhere else in town charges for something like this). I then tried to order gluten free pasta (which I had mentioned upon booking) and was told this was no longer possible as it was too late and they were too busy and it would take too long. They didn’t tell us once we were seated that there was a cut off time that we needed to order by. I am coeliac and don’t order gluten free for fun, so be treated like this is quite upsetting. It’s also very rare and very disappointing in Italy, where every other experience I’ve had has been very accommodating. Avoid...

Lamb and salad were good, pasta a little too much garlic (if that's possible), service was very friendly. House wines were both nice and better than some other restaurants nearby.

The atmosphere was great for about half of our meal until it was ruined by the owners son being allowed to blast TikTok videos at full volume on the table next to us. We asked (I think the male owner) if this could be turned down which was acknowledged and then completely ignored.

I understand that this is a family run business and kids might be around, but there's a difference between looking after children in a restaurant and completely ruining the atmosphere that customers are paying for. Many locals dine here, which speaks to the authenticity and quality of the dishes. During our visit, we enjoyed some of the best meals of our entire trip to Italy. The food was simply delicious, and the wine and other dishes were also excellent—all at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was pleasant and not overcrowded, making the evening very relaxing. The service was quick and efficient, making us feel completely at ease. This restaurant will always be our first choice when in Tropea. The combination of authentic cuisine, perfect service, and a welcoming location makes it a must-visit for any guest.
