This is one of the observation platforms from the height of the city of Tropea towards the sea in the direction of the rock and volcano Stromboli. This viewing platform is the main one in the city. It offers the best views and is often where meetings are scheduled. I recommend this place for enjoying sunsets and beautiful photos!

There are many beautiful viewpoints in Tropea, but when you experience this one, you understand the attraction. Apart from the stairs down to the sea, you will find the whole package here. Enjoy a delicious granita. The train departs from here. And various details, also a little further up one street.

Il Belvedere di piazza del cannone di trova all'arrivo in cima della scalinata che congiunge il mare con il centro storico di Tropea che comincia da qui. Ovviamente l'accesso è gratuito ma solo a piedi. Da questo punto si può godere di un panorama stupendo sul mare e sul Santuario di Santa Maria ma il massimo dello spettacolo è al tramonto quando il sole incontra il mare e si riesce a vedere distintamente l'isola di Stromboli dell'arcipelago delle Eolie, il tutto con dei colori spettacolari. Assolutamente da vedere se si è in zona.

Excellent view on the sea and the old church. If the weather is really sunny and the air has totally no fog or mist in it, it's even possible to see Stromboli volcano...
