To sum up this restaurant in a few words: tourist trap.
Those who have not tasted authentic Italian food may feel as though this place is a gem; it isn’t.
Positive notes: we were seated quickly and the service was exceptionally fast.
Negative notes: after having ordered various pizzas and pasta, everything was lacking flavour, was quickly put together and an overall lack of attention to detail was clearly present.
The gnocchi burrata tasted like balls of dough, the sauce had no flavour and the cheese might as well have been decorative. For 12€, quite sad.
The nduja and onion pizza was tasty.
The Stromboli pizza that I ordered peaked my interest because of the fresh tomatoes and basil. While fresh, the pizza lacked flavour - which is in line with the overall experience.
We’ve only had amazing experiences with house wines, that is until now. Thankfully we only ordered the 0.5L bottle - the wine was at best drinkable. Order something bottled instead.

Read moreIt was a magical evening. The food was simply superb. My wife and I chose three dishes and shared them: insalata pomodoro, pasta con chippolo rosso, and fish grigliata. We also ordered white house wine. The pasta was very tasty and unusual - you can probably only try such a dish in Tropea, where they grow the famous onion. The seafood dish was large - more than enough for two people. Swordfish, king prawn, grilled calamari, and something else. Everything was juicy and fresh. This all paired perfectly with the cold local wine. Nino, the charismatic owner of the establishment, sat down with us at the table - we were happy to chat with him, which was not a problem, even despite the language barrier. We'we also taste delicious tartuffo at the end of our dinner, local...
Read morefood was eatable, but not the very best, though i liked the appetizer you can see on my pictures. waitress was very uninterested and neither speaked another language than italian, nor she even tried. also gave us 1 italian and 1 english menu, though it was clear, that we dont speak a single word italian. but nevertheless, all good so far. the reason for my bad review: when we got inside the restaurant to pay the bill, we lost €50,- out of our pocket. we recognized it outside, when a waiter ran after us and said something italian, we couldnt understand. when we got back inside the restaurant, the cashier-lady said, all is fine, we can go. suddenly nothing was found and nobody knew anything. well. our bad, that we lost it, but definately worth a 1-star-review for...
