My friends and I were at this place last night to watch the soccer match and have dinner together. From the moment we sat down and tried to place our first order until the end of the evening, we were served by one waiter who was the rudest, most racist person I have ever encountered in my life.

He took around 30 minutes just to come and take our orders, and it took about an hour for him to bring the food and drinks—despite several reminders, which he completely ignored. After dinner, we ordered another round of drinks, which he never brought.

When we went to the counter to pay, he came over and said loudly to the receptionist: “They speak Ingleseee and I can’t do anything for them!” This was particularly shocking because we spoke Italian the entire time—while ordering, calling him, and throughout our visit—out of respect for the local language.

This was truly the worst experience we’ve ever had. I’m really sorry we wasted our time there. That waiter was incredibly rude and blatantly racist.

Shame on you.

To all English-speaking people and international students: please avoid this place.

Ieri sera io e i miei amici siamo stati in questo posto per guardare la partita di calcio e cenare insieme. Fin dal momento in cui ci siamo seduti e abbiamo cercato di fare il primo ordine fino alla fine della serata, siamo stati serviti da un cameriere che è stato la persona più scortese e razzista che abbia mai incontrato in vita mia.

Ci ha messo circa 30 minuti solo per venire a prendere l’ordine, e circa un’ora per portarci cibo e bevande—nonostante i nostri ripetuti solleciti, che ha completamente ignorato. Dopo cena, abbiamo ordinato un altro giro di bevande, che non ci ha mai portato.

Quando siamo andati alla cassa per pagare, si è avvicinato e ha detto ad alta voce alla receptionist: “Loro parlano inglese e io non posso fare niente per loro!” Questo è stato particolarmente scioccante perché abbiamo parlato sempre in italiano—durante l’ordine, nel chiamarlo, e per tutta la permanenza—per rispetto verso la lingua locale.

È stata davvero la peggior esperienza che abbiamo mai avuto. Mi dispiace moltissimo aver sprecato il nostro tempo lì. Quel cameriere è stato incredibilmente maleducato e apertamente razzista.

Vergognati.

A tutte le persone che parlano inglese e agli studenti internazionali: per favore evitate questo...

I've been here Thursday evening at 10PM. Many tables available, but then it quickly filled up. Nonetheless, the noise level never grew too loud, and I could still hear the nice background music. Being able to talk and not shout is not something to take for granted in a crowded place, even more so among Italians.

You order at the counter, but you pay when you leave, which is my favourite method: you don't have to wait for busy understaffed waiters, but you also don't have to reach for coins every half an hour. I'm talking about coins because a medium Weiss beer was just 3,5€.

Clean bathroom, with the sink separated for the WC, so you don't have to wait if you just want to wash your hands...

Siamo venuti in questo pub per una serata tranquilla. Birre buone e a prezzi onesti, cocktail non definiti in menù a costi ridotti. Abbiamo preso birre alla spina e spritz Aperol, e una porzione di patatine. Tutto molto buono...peccato per i tempi di attesa.

Uno dei camerieri era fin troppo distratto. Capisco tranquillamente che scherzare e conversare con alcuni clienti possa essere un modo informale per fidelizzarli, ciononostante, è richiesta una minima attenzione anche agli altri clienti: il cameriere ci ha fatto accomodare in uno dei tavolini fuori e ci ha fatto aspettare almeno una ventina di minuti prima di prendere la nostra ordinazione, aveva però già preso la seconda ordinazione dal tavolo di fianco a noi, dopo averci parlato e scherzato per svariato tempo e a più riprese. Abbiamo dovuto letteralmente fissare con insistenza i colleghi sia fuori che all'interno del pub per farci notare, senza successo. Finalmente, un superiore (immagino) gliel'ha fatto notare: il cameriere è venuto da noi esordendo con un titubante "nessuno vi ha preso l'ordinazione...?" Abbiamo poi ordinato una porzione di patatine fritte - chiedendo ovviamente se la cucina fosse aperta visto che nel frattempo si era fatta l'1. Ci confermano che è possibile portarcele e di nuovo, tempi di attesa lunghi. Dopo una ventina di minuti, di nuovo, abbiamo dovuto portare all'attenzione di qualcuno che stiamo aspettando le patatine. Tengo conto che fosse mezzanotte passata e che il turno fosse stato lungo e che fosse un giovedì con temperature intorno i 30 gradi, percepiti 38, ciononostante credo che se i tempi di attesa erano così lunghi in un giorno in settimana con oggettivamente poco via e vai di clienti, non verremo...
