Trattoria PoP Lingotto — Restaurant in Turin

We chose this place due to its location near to the Lingotto Conference Center. The restaurant is on two levels, with a well stocked bar in the entrance level. Few people seem to work here, but those who do are diligent, friendly and attentive at the same time. There is a limited but sufficient dinner menu to suit all tastes. We were a party of 5 people and everyone chose something different both for starter and main course. The food is well presented and tasty. I chose the Tarte Tatin to start (see photo). Delicious! Everyone was very satisfied with the food. Good variety of wines, spirits and liqueurs at the bar. We enjoyed our dinner so much we booked again another night. This time we sat on the upper level from the beginning which was more suited to us with the wheelchair. Plenty of space and no worries about having to lift the chair half way through the evening. Se volete mangiare da Pop dovete prenotare prima. Il locale è rumoroso, ma il cibo non è male: non eccezionale ma passabilmente buono. Il servizio non è attentissimo (il pane devi chiederlo, altrimenti non arriva) ma tutto sommato... Parcheggiare intorno a 8 Gallery potrebbe non essere semplice. Ora veniamo al motivo di una sola stella (che, chi mi segue sa che non viene certo data alla leggera). Ci presentiamo in due, dopo mesi, per pranzo. Sappiamo che esiste una convenzione con la nostra Azienda, pertanto chiediamo due menu più e (a parte) il vino. Quando andiamo a pagare ci viene detto che dobbiamo pagare il vino (lo so, ti abbiamo detto che lo prendevamo a parte) e gli antipasti. Come prima cosa dico alla persona in cassa che pagherò i due antipasti e il vino, però gli chiedo come mai dovrei pagare gli antipasti. Io ho ordinato al cameriere il menù concordato con la mia Azienda, più il vino. E qui... la scenata. Che io non posso sopportare, perché sapete bene che se mangio bene pago quanto dovuto. In più io DA SUBITO ho dichiarato di voler pagare l'intero importo. Discutere alla cassa non fa per me, ma se mi ci tiri per i capelli devo dirtelo: ho ordinato al cameriere un menu, tu mi porti al tavolo l'antipasto, come posso capire che non è compreso? Poi ti ho detto che pago, cosa ti metti a blaterare? Alla fine (di sua iniziativa) ci ha tolto gli antipasti dicendo che presto aumenterà del 10% il suo listino. Bene. Per quello che mi riguarda, in zona ci sono molte alternative. Ogni tanto il gestore dovrebbe capire di aver sbagliato, in più i clienti ti dicono che pagheranno, cosa ti metti a discutere? Quindi...

2. servizio (ai tavoli) poco attento
3. ambiente rumoroso (e mettere un paio di pannelli fono assorbenti per evitare l'effetto mensa?)
