Holidaying in south west Sardinia from the U.K. in mid June 2022, we visited this restaurant for dinner.
It is located in the heart of Carloforte, within walking distance of the Port.
We were warmly greeted by Alessandro, a co owner of the venue.
There is seating both indoors and outdoors.
We asked to be sat indoors and Alessandro ensured the Air Conditioning was at a nice level for our comfort.
The venue is clean, bright and well decorated.
After we were served drinks and lovely bread, Alessandro came to discuss the menu.
He brought out from the kitchen and showed us all the fresh fish on offer that day - it was an amazing selection.
For the antipasti, we had fried octopus and mashed potatoes.
For the first course, we had pasta with tuna eggs.
For the second course, we had deep fried mixed seafood and fresh giant prawns.
Dessert was crushed biscuit, cream and pistachio plus cream and mixed fruit.
We had a nice chilled bottle of extra dry Sardinian sparkling white wine with our meal.
As a digestif, we were also served a complimentary glass of mirto, a local liqueur made from myrtle plant.
We also tried the lighter coloured version of mirto.
All the food and drink was excellent.
I strongly recommend you visit this restaurant when in Carloforte - it is clean, welcoming, nice atmosphere, excellently cooked food using fresh ingredients, great service and good value.
I suggest you try dishes from all the courses - namely antipasti, prima and secondi so as to have a rounded experience of exquisite seafood - not to forget the dolce (dessert) of course.
A Big shout out to the chef extraordinaire and co owner, Natalia - who is also Alessandro's sister - for the delicious food she prepares and cooks from fresh ingredients.
I would also like to thank all the staff who waited on us - friendly, professional, and smart looking.
And last but not least, the co owner and host Alessandro - thank you for making us feel very welcome, taking care of us and being great host.

Read moreWe were looking for a late lunch around 2 pm and had trouble finding a place open, until we came across this charming family-run spot. The owner greeted us warmly outside, and when we mentioned we were hoping to try fresh local tuna, he immediately assured us he had the best.
We started with pasta and shellfish, which was flavorful and beautifully presented. My husband ordered the tuna steak while I had the fatty tuna — both dishes were outstanding. The freshness of the seafood was undeniable. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a bottle of Sardinian white wine that was light, crisp, and paired perfectly.
The experience felt truly authentic — the sister of the owner is the cook, and the cousin also helps run the place, making it a real family affair. Sitting outside, savoring such delicious food and warm hospitality, made for a memorable meal. We truly enjoyed...
Read moreThe place looks nice, the service is ok but the food average. I had fresh pasta with tomato sauce and the pasta was not cooked enough. I know that pasta should be al dente and had eaten many pasta dishes during my holidays in Italy and this one was definitely not cooked enough. The tomato sauce was also average and pasta with sauce was not well mixed before being served. My husband had spaghetti with sea food and he also told me that it was average. For 2 pasta dishes and a bottle of water we paid 34 euros. Coperto is 2,5 euro per person, more than in most...
