What an amazing experience! Staff were so friendly, cheerful and attentive. The magician like chef dishes out spectacular hand made spinach tortellini with Parmesan cream sauce, pesto courgette lasagna with locally sourced fresh ingredients were best dishes I’ve had in Italy. Flavor explosion on the most beautiful way. And how the chef was able to make gnocco fritto so light, fluffy, with a satisfying chew is mind blowing! Can’t wait to visit again! Ottima esperienza, locale rinnovato sia come interni che come menù. Abbiamo passato una piacevole serata ed i cibi ci sono sembrati di buon livello, sia i primi che le carni e i taglieri di affettati. Sicuramente da consigliare. Gnocco fritto davvero buonissimo! Unico suggerimento: valutare l'inserimento di un fasciatoio in bagno dato che c'è il posto. Sicuramente le famiglie con bimbi piccoli gradiranno In merito ai borlenghi del venerdì, francamente non sono stati di mio gradimento. Ho avuto modo negli anni di assaggiare tanti tipi di borlenghi, ma questi (sempre per i miei gusti personali) sono troppo conditi anche con un impasto pesante, abbastanza spessi e molto morbidi, non sono riuscito a mangiarne 2. Consiglio comunque di provarli e suggerisco un condimento più scarso e leggero (il borlengo non è una piadina)

Siamo originari del Piemonte ma ci piace viaggiare e quando ci capita di essere nel raggio di circa 2/2 ore e mezza di distanza dalla trattoria La Fontana (non capita spesso ma 1 o 2 volte all'anno facciamo tappa qui) non abbiamo dubbi su dove andare a pranzare o far cena. È un locale davvero molto accogliente sia come ambiente che a livello del personale ed è bello proprio perché nel corso degli anni non è mai cambiato nulla: camerieri e chef super gentili, piatti abbondanti e veramente molto buoni. L'unica cosa che quest'ultima volta abbiamo notato di diverso è il menù, davvero grazioso e rilegato bene, si vede che è fatto con amore. Tutti in questo posto fanno le cose bene e con amore quindi posso solo dire che se siete nelle vicinanze dovete passare a fare un salto qui, non ve ne pentirete!

Siamo originari del Piemonte ma ci piace viaggiare e quando ci capita di essere nel raggio di circa 2/2 ore e mezza di distanza dalla trattoria La Fontana (non capita spesso ma 1 o 2 volte all'anno facciamo tappa qui) non abbiamo dubbi su dove andare a pranzare o far cena. È un locale davvero molto accogliente sia come ambiente che a livello del personale ed è bello proprio perché nel corso degli anni non è mai cambiato nulla: camerieri e chef super gentili, piatti abbondanti e veramente molto buoni. L'unica cosa che quest'ultima volta abbiamo notato di diverso è il menù, davvero grazioso e rilegato bene, si vede che è fatto con amore. Tutti in questo posto fanno le cose bene e con amore quindi posso solo dire che se siete nelle vicinanze dovete passare a fare un salto qui, non ve ne pentirete!

We stumbled upon Trattoria La Fontana when in Maranello to visit the Ferrari Museum and we overwhelmingly pleased with our experience. Don't be fooled by the unassuming appearance or the very casual ambiance. In fact, the majority of patrons when we visited were factory workers on their lunch break. Sergio, our server, explained to us in charmingly accented English the menu and made recommendations that were spot on. The tortelloni was fabulous. Made from fresh local ingredients and a recipe of the chef's grandmother, it was the highlight of our meal. The new owner/chef is clearly making his mark with traditional dishes lovingly made. Sergio waited on us with the utmost care and offered us handcrafted limoncello, another family recipe, to finish off our meal. It was a fabulous afternoon and indeed a high point of our trip. We ate at Trattoria La Fontana on our first night in Maranello based on a recommendation from our hotel and it was a great experience in every way. We returned 2 more times and each time was progressively better as we felt like we were meeting with friends again. We loved the steak fillet, mixed meat platter, Tortellini and Tortelloni. The wines they recommended were all great. The staff were all wonderful and spoke great English so it was an easy and fun experience. We had initially planned to eat at 3 different restaurants recommended by our hotel but after eating at La Fontana we never bothered to try the other restaurants and we just ate every dinner there. We look forward to visiting our new friends at La Fontana on our next trip...
