I've stayed at eleven different hotels in my time in Europe, and out of all of them, in every way (but ESPECIALLY value for money), Maranello Palace is on top right now. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Ferrari factory in Maranello, so the location is fantastic. The building is attractive, and the amenities are top notch. In order to give context to my view of the staff, I'm going to relate an experience I had a few days earlier in a remote part of Northern Italy. I had a reservation at a 5 star hotel, booked months in advance. I showed up a bit later than expected, and I had been driving for 5 hours to arrive, so I wasn't exactly dressed up, and I was quite tired. I walked into the foyer of the hotel, and the fellow at the reservation desk, when I told him I had a reservation, immediately asked if I was sure I was in the right place. I didn't appreciate his assumption based on my current mode of dress (who wears a suit to drive for 5 hours?), and cancelled my reservation on the spot. The reception at Maranello Palace was the complete opposite. I walked in wearing my joggers and T-Shirt, dishevelled and tired from driving for hours, again. Though the fellow at reception was himself impeccably attired in suit and tie, not a word did he have to say about my state when I told him I had a long standing reservation. We then had a nice chat, and I went to check out my room. I had a double room with balcony, located at the second floor front of the hotel, complete with view of the Ferrari factory. I'll attach some photos so you can see, but the room is positively huge by European standards, with a gigantic bed, 39" smart TV (hooray, YouTube!), kettle with tea and instant coffee, and a few nice extras you sometimes get in North American hotels, but not that often in Europe, like bath slippers, shoe care sponge, and sewing kit. There is a fully equipped gym available for use on the third floor, open from (I think) 9am-11pm. The room is well appointed, as is the hotel, with a new modern elevator, iMac available for use in the lobby, underground parking (included in some room reservations, but always available for €10 per night for any guest if not, and free parking in front of the hotel, lots of room) and free breakfast included with your room reservation. You also have access to a free shuttle service linking to the La Gazella restaurant, should you choose, and I took advantage. I'll skip the restaurant review, but I had a very nice dinner, and you get some extras included for being a guest at Maranello Palace. The breakfast is available in the first floor breakfast room or the garden (option of in-room for a charge), and the selection is the best I've seen in my time in Europe, with a wide variety of delicious options including fresh fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, several juices and hot drinks, 9 or 10 dessert items, several kinds of bread for toast, croissants and pain au chocolat, preserves and spreads, cold cuts and cheese, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. There are also a la carte options available for a fee, including omelettes and other breakfast staples, and while the hot drinks in the buffet are tea bags and instant coffee, they will happily make you an espresso or cappuccino at no extra charge, and the espresso is wonderful. I got all of this, room with a view, lovely staff, great amenities, excellent breakfast, everything, for €69.00/night, which is a steal in my opinion (don't raise your prices guys, they're perfect!). If I didn't have a firm commitment to be elsewhere, I would have stayed at least one more day, probably two. I did some other stuff while in the Maranello area, but for me, the hotel was the highlight. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Go, you won't regret it. Not only is the hotel worth every penny, but the staff are amazing and friendly, and fun to talk to! Well, I'm going to wrap this up before it becomes a book. Five stars! Well done Maranello Palace, if I get the chance,...

We booked 4 nights in a suite at the annex building of the Maranello Palace. The hotel seems nice, is located just outside Maranello (3 min drive to the centre), surrounded by woods and it feels good to be there. The room was ok, nothing remarkable but nothing to complain about. Breakfast is quite decent with a lot of options and even on the day when the hotel seemed full, we had everything available and a free table for us. The problem with the hotel is the lack of tought into things and service. At the annex, the rooms have a small kitchenette and washing and drying machine for your clothes. This seems awesome, but they don't provide any soap, so you have to buy it. There are plates and pots and pans for you to cook, but they also don't provide dish soap, sponges or kitchen cloth. Is a hotel actually expecting you to go to a shop and buy a sponge and dish soap? Hope not because not one person in their right ind would do that. When we arrived, I noticed 2 things, the shower was clogged and the kitchen faucet was barely running (making it impossible to wash the dishes). I asked the reception for maintenance and was told it was a holiday so they couldn't do anything. I was offered to exchange rooms, but made the mistake of thinking "I don't want to move all the stuff and the kids, so we'll stay". Nothing was fixed for the duration of our stay. There's no change that people from housekeeping never noticed any of these issues. When I was checking out, I asked the receptionist if I coult have the email of the manager to send some suggestions and she quickly told me to send it to the info email. The hotel is not bad, I would probably stay there again, but I think they need to rethink...

WARNING CHECK IF THIS HOTEL WILL HAVE THE AIR-CONDITIONER ON, BECAUSE WE WERE TOLD “NO, SORRY, WE CAN’T TURN IT ON” ON A HOT DAY.

I’ll start this review by just confirming that we spent only one night here and I would have cancelled my booking if it was any longer than this.

Rooms were okay, bathroom was clean as it should be, however after being at Ferrari Museum all day and walking back in the heat, we decided to go back and relax before dinner. After trying to turn on the air-conditioner and getting no relief, we called reception and was told by the staff “sorry but we can’t turn it on until tomorrow”. WHO TURNS AN AIR-CONDITIONING UNIT OFF DURING HOT DAYS?! My Nonna and Nonno do this to save money but I am not paying to stay at their house. Frustrated, I called back and asked for some compensation as we were very uncomfortable. The staff member said “no sorry, we are unable to”. I then went downstairs to discuss this with the staff who was still giving me random weird excuses when she said “tell me what compensation you want?” We settled for a drink at the bar however it wasn’t provided as an initial apology and required a lot of complaining.

Overall it was an okay hotel, nothing I would come running back for. In the morning another person staying at the hotel left their dog in the room while they had breakfast and the dog was crying and barking from 7:55am to about 8:30am after I called to complain.

You should also save your money for breakfast and go get a proper coffee and pastries somewhere else, the breakfast was...

I don’t understand why this hotel call themselves “4 star hotel” 😳 . They don’t have bellman, you have to drag your own suitcases to you room, and bring them back when you leave. They don’t have restaurant inside the hotel, so if you wanna eat around 2pm it’s very difficult to find something open since EVERYTHING in Maranello close, and the open again, I think around 5pm. I would give them maximum 3 stars, and I think it’s a lot

Another lovely hotel i'v had the pleasure to stay in. Loved my room (And it was only the basic), my private balcony and the excellent staff. Always a smile and it was obvious they were accustomed to international clientele. If I could only use one word it would definitely be " Polished ". Breakfast was wicked, with so much choice. For the hotel that represented the Ferrari, it truly lived up to its name.

The rooms, suites, food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the lodging experience is excellent. I highly recomend this hotel.
