Starter after the main course, bad food, ignorant waiters, advertising 5 language but no one speaks them
Our story for tonight We saw a restaurant as we were walking, we liked how it looked. We didn’t check the reviews. This was a big mistake. We became so excited because we saw different flags so it meant different languages, german flag, german language “here we go, this will be our place, we will be able to read the menu and also communicate with others hopefully”
Menu was in german, but no one could speak a word of it at all.
I ordered starter, melon with parma ham. Well, after our main course I asked them where was it actually. Just because I thought, okey, it might had been forgotten to be ordered or whatever. I didn’t want to kick off, but still wanted to know what had happened, in case just get it removed from the bill. I asked a waiter where was the starter, he said - not in a friendly way - he doesn’t speak german and walked off. We thought he is getting someone who speaks german at least on a basic level. No. It didn’t happen. A lady came over to our table and we asked her where was that starter, she didn’t speak our language and she didn’t even know what was going on. So I asked for the dessert menu and tadaaaa the starter has arrived. €10 starter, after main. Yes, I absolutely disliked it. Not only because it didn’t come in an order as it supposed to be, because every course we had was disappointing us. By the way I don’t have allergies for seafood but I’m sitting in a hotel with swollen up hands and face now…
Yes, I don’t speak English, I asked for help to write this review just to make sure the working staff can read it and understand...
Read moreTook them a long while to find seats which is understandable for 5 people with no reservation. Food ended up delivered very fast. Turned out to be really bland, low quality ingredients. I ordered a calzone and it seemed okayish but bland. For dessert I had a panna cotta. It still had imprints from the packaging it was dumped out of. Messy chocolate thrown over it. Taste wasnt impressive either. The downside of choosing a random touristy place next to the sea.
Another thing that kinda soured the atmosphere were the street belly dancers that chose to perform right next to the restaurant but they werent a part of it clearly. They brought loud music plus a crowd right next to our seats. How is bellydancing italian...
Read morePortions so small that after an appetizer and the priciest secondi I left the table actually hungry. I am not a large person. Atmosphere good and service fine but food prep was poor. The special was a gazpacho soup with buratta. The buratta was actually a large slab of mozzarella and the gazpacho was a bitter tasting purée. The grill seafood platter had a piece of overcooked tuna that measure 3 inches by 1.5 inches and a piece of another fish that was a thin slice 3x4 inches in dimension. The shellfish 4 pieces looked nice and what meat there was was sweet and tender. Just wasn’t much of it. Conclusion overpriced and not focused on food...
