I’ve lived in NYC (Greenwich Village and Williamsburg) for 9 years, gone to all the best restaurants and hidden gems, and I can confidently say this is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The food was so fresh and the owner is so dedicated to his work. The menu changes seasonally with some consistent staples. We got the croquettes, charcuterie, cheeses, tagliatelle, beef rib, panna cotta, and lemon curd. Everything was mind blowing, it’s hard to pick favorites but I’d say the steak special (beef rib), which was so delicate and melted in your mouth; the panna cotta which came infused with berries and this soft wine sauce which was an incredible twist and not too sweet, and lastly, the charcuterie. It was so fresh, and included 1 very unique meat I’ve never had in my 300+ times having charcuterie before (sadly forget the name, but it was pork fat that is aged in spices in a marble box). Read moreMy wife and I are staying in Pietrasanta for a month and was looking for a close place to eat. The Google ratings drew us to VOLATILE, and we were not disappointed at all.
There is quite a lovely selection of wine and a nice rotating menu for service. We started with an aperitif, then pivoted to dinner sharing the cod filled ravioli and the steak special. Both meals were very good. Our night finished with a delicious vanilla panna cotta with orange reduction. The vino blanco flowed freely and Stefan topped our night off with housemade Camomile and Laurel nightcaps.
