Il Lunedì de lo Studio — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

I am half Italian and have been in the country continuously for 40 years. I have never written a review before as it is simply not necessary, everything is usually absolutely fantastic when it comes to the food in Italy. In Pietrasanto there are many great restaurants Il Lunedí dello Studio in Pietrosanto is not one of them. No one in our party of 6 ate the food and then we ordered different dishes from the somewhat meager menu. The potatoes were not cooked through, the pasta was swimming in melted butter, the tuna served with cold brown beans, it was the absolute worst I have ever been served. Tastes in food are of course individual and not everyone likes everything, but when the quality and cooking is as bad as this, more people need to share our experience. What is still the most surprising thing about this restaurant is that the owner, after compensating us with approx. 50 Euro, claims that it is not her problem that we as customers experience the visit bordering on terrible. Beautiful atypical restaurant with unexpected flavours!

The location and decor are really beautiful, artistic and unexpected. The food uses quality and fresh ingredients and brings amazing uncommon flavours and combinations.

The menu seems to change quite frequently so my suggestion is to experiment and try things you usually wouldn’t order. I especially loved the “tonno concio” which is a huge chunk of tuna with a delicious creamy sauce on top (Mustard, Anchovies, Capers, Persil, Boiled Eggs) and the Carrot flan with Brie fondue. But overall everyone at the table really enjoyed what they ordered.

Pants. I visited on a Sunday evening and was told they weren't cooking properly, only small things like squid, chips etc. I said that was fine and went and found a table outside after being offered a drink. The drink and a bit of fried bread sticks appeared. And nothing else.

For over an hour. Nobody came to ask what I might like. Another table received some squid and chips and actual service. I received none. After over an hour of being ignored I gave up and left.
