L' Osteria - Barga — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni Media Valle del Serchio

Everything went wrong. I don’t understand, why this place has so many good reviews. We ordered antipasti, first and second course. Some people from our group finished third dish, other were eating dessert, when others were still waiting for their second dish. Waiter (maybe owner?) was really impolite. When we said that we are waiting really long, and rest of our group finished whole dinner, other ate just a starter, we heard that ist not McDonald’s, and waiting for 2 hours for pasta is perfectly normal, and is an “Italian way”. Then he started screaming at us, that this is the best restaurant in town, and we should be happy that we can eat here. I’ve never met so impolite person working with customers. The food isn’t good, unsealed. the ragu is dry and tastes like it’s been reheated many times.We ordered the medium rare stake, but it was raw, with too little salt and pepper. Prices are much too high for the quality they offer. The only good thing I can say about this place, is the localization on Piazza Angelio. I will never come back here again, and never recommend...

Unfortunately, the staff was absolutely overwhelmed. No time for greetings or anything, food was cold and we had to go inside to pay, as they could not manage to do so in reasonable amount of time. The table next to us was not cleared for more than one hour. They were clearly not able to handle the amount of guests. Two waiters for approximately 15 tables. As an ex waitress myself I have to say: this is not too much to handle. The food was good (truffle noodles) but they would have been better if they were still warm. I do understand that busy times can be overwhelming but the least you could do is being nice to your guests and not letting them feel...

The service was horrible. I made a reservation through the hotel and there wasn’t a table when I arrived. Waited 30 minutes for a menu and asked 4 times while watching 3 other parties seated immediately with menus, water and bread who received their meals before my order was even taken. Received the wrong meal and had to wait for the correct one while the others at my table enjoyed their meal. My steak arrived and it was RAW. Tried to eat it but it was difficult to cut and to chew. I brought it to the attention of the waiter who started yelling at me saying that everyone says the steak is good. He made a huge scene. I do not recommend...
