Overall it was very good!

As a starter I had scallops with beetroot, roasted bacon crumbs and a lovely fresh mouse. After the tenderloin (filetto di Manzo), almost perfect. The meat was great, but just a little more towards well done than medium. I would have liked it between medium and rare. The preparation of the vegetables and the sauce was perfect. The wine (Siresol rosso veneto 2017) was a top combination for me. I wasn't planning on having dessert, but given the quality of the other dishes I couldn't resist. The dessert was called: “Loveria valrhona”, on the advice of the waitress… It was bad for the body, but great for your brain. The service was very pleasant, the young lady was honest and adequate (I would have liked to pay earlier though, but then you are expected to walk to the cash register yourself). By the way, the young lady looks like a real Italian movie star, which fits well with the setting of the restaurant.

Very interesting interior which is the real Grotta but that’s it. Very stuffy and high humidity on the upper level so it’s hard to breath there. The food - nothing special. The poached egg with asparagus and truffle was just the watery boiled egg (my homemade one is more delicious, to be honest) with a piece of asparagus and some slices of truffle with no truffle aroma; absolutely insipid; wanted to salt it but there was no salt on the table. No menu in English. Gonna use google translator? - Good luck, if your mobile internet is available there. WiFi? Sure, it’s available only if you register with the Facebook. This is definitely not the place I will ever visit...

A voi capita di trovarvi per caso davanti ad un locale e decidere di entrare per pranzare? Oggi mi trovavo di passaggio a Brisighella con mia mamma, siamo rimaste colpite dall'esterno del locale e dal nome che raccontava sicuramente una storia. Abbiamo così deciso di entrate per il pranzo. Il locale è ricavato all'interno di una cava... Stupendo!!!!! Come entré offerto dalla casa una deliziosa vellutata di sedano con semi di sesamo neri e un giro di olio di Brisighella DOP. Come primo un risotto allo zafferano con agnello, agrumi e rosmarino (ottimo!!!!!)... Ho aspettato circa una ventina di minuti e sono contenta perché vuole dire che il risotto è preparato al momento! Come secondo (purtroppo non ho fatto le foto) una eccellente frittura di gamberi, calamari e verdure di stagione e un strepitoso tagliere di salumi di qualità selezionati, pecorino, squaqquerone, marmellata, piadina e tigelle (la farcitura delle tigelle non mi è piaciuta tantissimo, è effettivamente l'unica cosa che non mi ha entusiasmato ma può essere che essendomi piaciuto tutto, dovevo pur trovare un difetto a qualcosa! :D ) . Come dolce un semifreddo al miele con croccantino di anacardi e cannoli alla ricotta di capra emarmellata di albicocche. Per finire un'ottima caffè. Se devo trovare un difetto è per il caffè, personalmente amo il caffè stretto e purtroppo non l'ho detto. Comunque anche da lungo era perfetto! Ottimo servizio. Il ristorante ha un'ottima selezione di vini (purtroppo dovevo fare diversi km e quindi non ho assaggiato nulla). Prezzi adeguati...
