Osteria Al Ponte del Diavolo — Restaurant in Venice

What a beautiful experience! We returned here after around ten years and it is even better than we remembered. The setting is stunning, the staff are welcoming and the food is really sensational. We had a Bellini in the garden before we went in and were given a delicious amuse bouche, with grilled octopus and pumpkin. I had the Venetian fish appetiser, which was baby octopus, baccala and sarde in soar. Beautifully presented and very tasty. We both had pasta for our main course and it was a treat for both the eyes and the tastebuds! I had spaghetti di gragnano and my dad had the cavatelli. A really special and memorable meal! Would recommend to anyone and it’s worth the trip...

We had a very lovely and welcoming experience. Service at the Osteria was really good and careful, the ambient is very beautiful and elegant, even in the summer heat they have chrome fans that are very efficient. This meal made the visit to Torcello even more pleasant. Food was good and extremely fresh, we had insalata frutti (salad with seafood) and as main, the fish of the day. Amazing. An oasis of beautiful tranquility with excellent food. This place felt so lovely and calm after the frenetic crowds of Venice. After a romantic stroll along the towpath and a visit to the stunning Veneto-Byzantine basilica, we settled down in an oversize marquee with a view of green green grass and pheasants roaming.
