Hotel Ristorante Il Giardinetto — Restaurant in Vercelli

We celebrated our friends’ wedding here recently. ||Rooms were clean and refurbished recently, well equipped. Beds were nice and comfy. We got a cot for our 2.5 years old boy, who always travels with us. ||The lake view was to die for – there is a balcony with a couple of chairs and a table so you can sit and enjoy. ||Staff was very nice and the food in the restaurant was simply amazing. Apparently, they have a celebrity chief cooking for them, not sure who he was though as I’m not really into those kind of things. ||Breakfast was typical Italian but quite substantial. ||They have a couple of boats available that can take you to the town on the other side of the lake – really nice place with a little square and some restaurants. ||There are couple of large car parks nearby, so you’ll be able to park. ||Did use wifi, but I think it was available at no extra cost – not sure, sorry. ||||All in all, this was one of the few hotels that would happily recommend and stay again. Yes, you pay a bit more, but the view well worth it. ||Would stay here for at least couple of nights when we’re back...

Rinomato ristorante in Vercelli, con buona disponibilità di posti sulla strada. Locale classico, leggermente datato a conduzione famigliare, con alcune camere annesse di cui non ho usufruito. Sono stato in pausa pranzo, la location mi è piaciuta, a parte il giardinetto da cui il locale prende il nome, molto grazioso ma non enorme che non ho potuto provare per il caldo di questi giorni, i tavoli interni non sono tanti ma l'aria condizionata rende la permanenza piacevole. Premetto, ho assaggiato solo due antipasti, un primo e il dolce, ma ho voluto fare questa recensione perché sono stato bene e ci tornerò sicuramente alla prima occasione. Come antipasti ho preso in condivisione l'insalata russa e il vitello tonnato oltre al culatello accompagnato da sottaceti. Tutto molto buono. Di primo ci hanno preparato uno squisito risotto con i funghi porcini, perfettamente amalgamato, per niente burroso e cottura perfetta. All'ingresso ero rimasto affascinato dalle crostate (meglio chiamarle tarte tatin) in effetti quella di albicocca l'ho trovata deliziosa. Cestino del pane ben assortito, buoni soprattutto i grissini. Personale disponibile e premuroso. Bagni un po' striminziti, ma puliti e ben tenuti. Amex accettata. Ci tornerò per provare gli altri...
