La Salumoteca - Agriosteria — Restaurant in Verona

I travel a lot and have lived in Italy for years on end, so it is very hard to impress me with Italian food. However, La Salumoteca managed both to knock me off my feet with the quality of the food and level of service.

The beef tartar is one of the best I have tried in my life, with a touch of Mediterranean color and taste. The gnocchi are absolutely amazing - home made, no egg, so very light with a ragu sauce that just melts in your mouth.

The choice of local wine is also impressive and I recommend to just be guided by the waiters.

If you are a tourist and want to try authentic Veneto dishes or just an Italian that is very picky about his food, this is the place.

Excellent salumeria with fried to staff and good tables with enough space. They offered a little taste of some of their meat on a crunchy piece of bread and it was complimentary. We ordered the piccolo grande antipasto and it was lovely. Smoked buratina, small meatballs, lots of beautiful crudo Di Parma riserva and fresh bread and bruschetta and fabulous home made picketed vegetables. Really enjoyed this place...

I had a couple of dinners with my boyfriend and the food, the atmosphere and the service couldn’t be better. They were very nice and friendly. I really enjoy it. The quality of the food and service I have to say the best in Verona. Thanks Simone and his team! I don’t remember if the name was Paolo (glasses and long hair) but he was absolutely brilliant and great explaining the dishes.
