Osteria Piccolo Piemonte — Restaurant in Vicenza

The menu was a challenge if you don't speak italian - the way it was presented didn't work for picture translate. Staff tried their best to help though. We had pea pasta which they happily split for us and the pasta was tasty but I think the peas were dried - we had fresh other places - good stock flavour though. For main we had steak and pork cooked in milk - which was the highlight. Both came with fried polenta, which I liked though the wife found too dense. We also ordered some potatoes, which were tasty. Aftrigato was good and wife's baba heavy on the rum. There were lots of doggie certificates and pictures which we loved and owner showed us pics...

We arrived and the owner continued to read the journal, not welcoming us. She also spoke to us in her dialect (i m italian and it was hard to understand everything) . She did not show a menu, they have a list of daily meals which she read out , without explaining anything. Anyway, We ordered two dishes of pasta and they were good and big. The price of the dish was a bit expensive 10 euro a dish..for a hosteria! Dont know if i would come again. Maybe if the owners were more...

Luogo piccolino ed accogliente. Appena fuori dal centro di Vicenza. Comodissimo se poi si va a ballare al barrio latino. Premetto che dal nome mi aspettavo più una cucina piemontese e invece nulla di tutto ciò. Poco male perché il cibo era tutto ottimo. Abbiamo preso del salame cotto che era davvero gustoso, dei bigoli con le sarde, per noi che siamo abituati a condire poco il cibo con il sale era un pelino troppo salato ma comunque buono. Un piatto di moeche con la polenta e un piatto di moscardini. Questi ultimi due davvero spaziali. Per me hanno vinto i moscardini, invece per il mio compagno le moeche. Personale gentile anche se a volte poco attenti al servizio. Però nel complesso lo stesso una piacevole esperienza. Il vino della casa ahimè non ci è proprio piaciuto, suggerisco di prendere piuttosto una bottiglia di vino. Io Di solito difficile che lascio li un calice di vino e invece sta volta non ce l'ho fatta a finirlo. E per finire un sorbetto. In due con mezzo litro di prosecco della casa abbiamo speso 90€ circa. Per me un pó sopra la media, anche se ammetto che abbiamo mangiato pesce in centro vicenza e le porzioni sono abbondanti. Nel complesso comunque...
