At the end of a great wine tasting we asked the host what her number one pizza recommendation was which we would otherwise not find as tourists. This is the place, however do not expect the standard pizza but the Napoli style (thicker base and wider crust).

It was definitely a spot for locals as we were clearly the only ones not native to the area which was great. The pizzas were clearly made with carefully selected ingredients of a high quality. The pizzas we tried were the two “al coccio” pizzas (La pizza del capo & Veja) these were very nice. As usual they were slightly to big but we were able to take the remainder away with us. (It would be a shame to throw away)

The atmosphere was great, it felt like an Italian version of a pub. So more eating combined...

Da molto tempo volevamo provare la serata cozze, siamo andati giovedì sera scorso. Locale molto bello e personale in sala gentilissimo, ragazzi davvero in gamba e pazienti. Devo purtroppo dare ragione ad alcune recensioni recenti e passate che ho letto: le cozze, a differenza di molti altri locali specializzati, nonostante la tanta gente presente, sono arrivate quasi subito il che purtroppo ha confermato quello che abbiamo notato al primo assaggio: le portate erano cucinate molto precedentemente Scrivo questo perche' di fatto erano tutte fredde: sia il primo giro che il secondo. Il frutto all'interno piccolo e abbastanza asciutto e parecchie, troppe davvero, erano vuote. Abbiamo fatto presente in maniera educata sia ai camerieri durante le portate ma che poveretti loro prendono ordini dalla cucina e servono ai tavoli ma anche alla cassa al momento del conto. Non mi e' piaciuta molto la risposta della ragazza in cassa, abbastanza scocciata e poco attenta. Ci ha fatto 7 euro di sconto su un conto di 77 euro in tre con acqua, un quartino di rosso, mezzo di bianco, entrambi della casa e due caffè. Per come abbiamo cenato, davvero un conto esagerato.Abbiamo visto passare comunque pizze molto particolari, sembrano davvero molto buone e di qualita' e quasi quasi ci siamo pentiti di non aver preso la pizza anziche' questo giro cozze abbastanza deludente. Ho visto che spesso il titolare/proprietario risponde alle recensioni in maniera molto accesa anziche' cercare di cogliere degli spunti riflessivi. Va bene ragionare sui grandi numeri pero' credo ci voglia piu' attenzione e rispetto per chi decide di portarvi lavoro. Un'altra cosa che mi ha fatto un po' specie e anche tenerezza e' che una ragazza alle prime armi,si vedeva, cameriera in sala non ci ha portato via l'oliera per farci posto in quel tavolino striminzito da due in cui ci hanno fatto stare in tre, come altri, dicendo che altrimenti l'avrebbero sgridata. Excelent restaurant. From the outside it didn't look anything special, but when you step inside, it was very bussy and warm. As we don't speak italian, the waiter was very helpful and they helped us choose from the menu. They had an excelend Thursday special menu and the steak was also perfectly cooked. Only downside was the portion of the side dish. Baked potatoes were just 5 thin slices of potato, so would not order them again. But other food is very good, and freshly prepared.
