Calabash high standard have gone right down and I won't be going back there in a hurry unless they make vast improvement in Customer Service and their Menu. The long wait to order your food at the Cashier while she takes telephone order, customers have to wait on her to be served and even a longer wait for your food once you place your order. Calabash Online menu urgently needs Updating with prices of meals, their full Business Address hours of opening and phone, email, whatsapp contacts/links. The inhouse menus need improvement with more of variety of fresh produces daily and ensure that they are fully stocked dont run out of food items, it's a disappointment to customers when they are told that the meal ordered is no longer available because they only had limited stock, my take out hot meal was cold I threw it away couldn't eat it. The reason I didn't take it back and ask for a refund is because going back to Ocho Rios to complain would be a waste of time I wouldn't get any satisfaction. Calabash used to be a very good Vegetarian Restaurant but it seems the Owner have taken his eye off the ball and standards have declined the quality of the food they now serve is poor and have gone from yummy/delicious to inedible. Also the windows in the kitchen Area are visible covered with grease/dust urgently...

I ate at Calabash Restaurant twice during my stay in Ocho Rios, and I can honestly say it's the best cook shop in the area. This place is more than just food—it's a whole vibe.
The meals were delicious and nourishing. I tried the tofu, rice and peas, ackee, broad beans, boiled food, a banana porridge that hit just right, and an incredible black bean burger. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with love. You can tell they cook with intention and care about what they’re serving.
Beyond the amazing I-tal food, Calabash is a cultural experience. The space is filled with beautiful art, conscious books, natural soaps, and handmade accessories. You feel like you're part of something more when you're there—connected to community, wellness, and creativity.
They also make smoothies, which were refreshing and packed with flavor—perfect for the Ocho Rios heat.
Whether you're vegan, plant-based, or just looking for clean, soulful food, Calabash is a must-visit. It's a place that feeds your body and...
Read moreWe went here after Dunn's River Falls because it's only a few minutes drive away. I wouldn't have expected to find this gem where I was but we did and the food was GREAT! I had BBQ tofu with a side of food, calalloo, and cabbage. There were so many options I wanted to try, next time we're in Ochi, we'll go back. The portions they give you are a very generous Caribbean sized portion, even the medium. You can also get things like condiments, seasonings, spices, honey, nuts, seeds and other things to cook at home or snack on. This is a MUST stop for vegetarians or vegans travelling in the area. Meat lovers will enjoy the dishes too as the flavours are amazing. The vibe of the place was good, and I loved the slogan "we don't eat anything dead to stay alive" on the wall for people who want to learn more about Ital living. This is a casual spot, so probably not somewhere that fits a fancy night out, but the food is good. You may need to wait a bit depending on the time - we went at peak after school/work times so...
