Island Grill (Main Street) Ocho Rios — Restaurant in undefined

The reason why I'm posting anything is because this was my 1st time there and I was disgusted by what I saw thank GOD my food got wrapped before the lady cleaning the ceiling reached that far. So ordered my food and started to wait for it, seen a young lady on a ladder with a rag cleaning the ceiling, she continued down the line until I noticed it was the preparing food line she was cleaning above, nasty 🤔!! She got down from the ladder, put the bucket of water on the step as she scooted it down more closer to where my bugers were being wrapped up, she then took the bucket from the step she was standing on and placed it on the serving line counter, then she took the rag she was cleaning with and put it on the counter and wiped the counter with it.... I couldn't get my food fast enough.... How did NO ONE SEE A PROBLEM WITH WHAT WAS GOING ON. 1st You don't clean the ceiling over serving stations while food is being prepared, 2nd her shoes went from the floor to the step why then would the bucket get placed onto the step and then onto the serving counter, 3rd the rag she was cleaning the ceiling with then cleans the food prep counter, GROSS... SO the fact they heard me saying this and they continued to let her do it shows there is NO LEADERSHIP to show that was unprofessional, unsafe to customers, and questionable to what maybe in our food.... Will...

It's an okay place. Not the cleanest, not the dirtiest. They're kind of slow on getting orders ready and such. You can go upstairs and sit, but they don't really keep it clean either, may have to wipe your own table. Stingy on napkins, if you ask for extra napkins you get two more, when they've only put two in the bag in the first place, for a family of six. Ultimately, this means if there's a mess left on the table, it will be up to them to wipe it up, which I understand is why it's probably not so clean up there because they don't give you enough napkins to clean up after yourself 🤷🏾‍♀️. Cheap/stingy. Somewhere that I would look to go to again? Probably not. Somewhere that you can grab food if you have to and you're in another country and your kids are hungry?...

Yaba is great, go lite awesome, red peas soup I like it.

Fast forward to 2023, food is still great, but service is slack. I went there with my lady, paid for our meal, after waiting for an enormous time, a customer came in, a worker in the back walk to the other empty cash register, cashes her mom then went around to prepare her meal, handed it to her. We were still waiting when I complained to the worker packing our meals, how come our number 309 is not called and she reaches 312,, she simply said. A me alone, she packed our meal. No ketchup. No fork. No sauce, for both our meal. And our juice order, she gave us...
