Located in the heart of 網走市 (Abashiri City), Hokkaido, 中鮨 boasts a distinguished history of six decades, making it a timeless destination for sushi enthusiasts. Stepping into this establishment, you're greeted by an ambiance steeped in tradition, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey with reasonal price.
At the helm is the knowledgeable chef, known as the "大将" (taisho), whose expertise and passion for sushi craftsmanship are evident in every dish. The menu features an extensive selection of 握り寿司 (nigiri sushi), showcasing a blend of 江戸前 (Edomae) and 蝦夷前 (Ezomae) styles that offer a taste of both tradition and innovation.
As I savored each meticulously crafted nigiri sushi, I couldn't help but admire the artistry and precision that went into every bite. The freshness of the ingredients and the delicate balance of flavors spoke volumes about the taisho's mastery of his craft.
Beyond the exceptional cuisine, 中鮨 offers an intimate dining experience complemented by attentive service. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or a first-time visitor, the staff ensures that every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for.
During my visit, I had the opportunity to learn from the chef about the distinction between sushi and Japanese cuisine (和食). If you're curious about this aspect of Japanese culinary tradition, I highly recommend experiencing it firsthand at 中鮨.
In conclusion, 中鮨 offers an unparalleled sushi experience that celebrates tradition, craftsmanship, and excellence. For a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine and a glimpse into the art of sushi-making, 中鮨 is a must-visit...

The restaurant is very clean and the counter seats felt quite spacey. Pretty much everyone we encountered here were great from the staff to the other customers and locals, it added to the feel of the place. We got the assorted variety and some maki...
