I came here for the Abashiri Showa era’s exhibition, the exhibition is small but it’s well planned and you get to see every angle of the living style under the Showa era.
Ground floor has tons of specimens and they all look super real…… you’ll get to know the animals near by Abashiri area. They also have several photo books for you to understand plants and animals from different months near the museum :) it’s so cute.
On the second floor you get to see the aboriginal ppl’s life style and Abashiri’s history. It took me around 2 hours to finish exploring this museum.
English is not available here, but Google translate is quite accurate. Not all the items have a story so you can just come and enjoy + explore. The fee is only 120 yen for adult. The building itself also looks interesting (feels like it’s from the Ghibli’s movie), the window on the second floor is amazing :)

It was a pleasure to see the original model of a small statue whose replica is exhibited at The Museum of...
