We stopped in for lunch during our time in Abashiri. We were warmly greeted and seated in what I'd call a very friendly and relaxing environment. There was a good selection of food to choose from so if you need somewhere with a range of options this is a good choice. Prices were extremely reasonable as well. If you're looking for a solid choice for lunch that will leave you feeling full and happy come in for lunch here!

たっぷりと　旬を味わう　網走の夜 ここ"nabe"は、網走をはじめとした旬のネタをリーズナブルに味わえるお店。店主は海外で寿司職人をしていたこともある方で、海外からのお客さんも気軽に立ち寄れます。 お寿司の美味しさは言うまでもなく、なによりも店主の心温まる人柄も、このお店の醍醐味。だから自分は、カウンターを陣取って、お品は全て店主におまかせ。 旬のネタを使った刺身の盛り合わせや握り寿司を、日本酒で味わう網走の夜。寿司を愛し、網走を愛する店主とのトークで、時間はあっという間に過ぎてしまいました。このひとときを体験してしまうと、もう網走から離れたくなくなりますね。 ここ数年で一気に知名度が上がってきているのが、網走発祥の"から酒"。カニの殻を炙って熱燗で味わうその風味が、田舎の漁師町で育った自分としては、なんとなく、懐かしく感じる味わいで、お刺身とのマリアージュもバッチリ。"から酒"以外にも、店主は大の日本酒好きなので、旬のネタにピッタリな日本酒も多数用意してくれています。 ネタよし、酒よし、店主よし。おまけに価格もリーズナブル。店内は江戸前のガチンコなお寿司屋さんというよりは、レストランのような空間。ランチメニューも豊富なので、自分のような飲兵衛だけでなく、ご家族でもファミレス感覚で楽しんで旬を味わえます。 本当にイイお店です。また近いうちに訪れたいと思います。

An “omikase” dinner for the notebook! Sushi-chef and so much more - beautiful sashimi & nigirizushi plus original takes on Soba and his own “crab croquette” with house-made sauce. The restaurant I had intended to visit was not open and we were lucky to find Nabe open for lunch as most were closed! Food was delicious and the staff engaging which made it even more enjoyable. Agree with other comments about the English menu making it easier for non Japanese speakers to make...
