Starbucks Coffee - Akita Station — Restaurant in Akita

Akita has a number of famous festivals not only popular in the region but in the entire country. This Starbucks branch could have exerted more effort in making the atmosphere and prepare decorations or art that represents Akita considering it is in the heart of the city around the main train station. Except for the wooden exterior which was amazing, the interior was “okay” but it’s just almost the same with other Starbucks branch in other prefectures.

The staff were nice but I wish the man with eyeglasses could’ve been friendlier. I was a little bothered because of his serious facial expression.

Seconldy, the time I visited there were a group of high school students doing their homework and occupied one wide table. I wanted to relax there but I couldn’t so it was not a good experience. I hope this branch should regulate the length of customers (regardless of customer’s age group) to use and stay in the table so that other customers can sit and also relax. I have nothing against high school students but I hope they can do their homework somewhere else or in a less busy branch. The management should manage this!

I even overheard other foreign and Japanese customers complaining that this coffee shop is not a co-working space and decided not to enter the this store or go...

Well located Starbucks cafe right beside the Akita JR Station. We were there roaming around the JR station area and stumbled upon this Starbucks. It’s less then 100 meters away from the JR entrance. There was a good number of seats inside the cafe and they were having some special drinks promotion for the Christmas season.

As always, a trusted cup of good old coffee with many pastries and cakes on offer. Not crowed...

Located at the train station with lots of seats. Good place to enjoy coffee while waiting for your train ride or hotel check in. Ambience is good as well as staff and cleanliness as well. Been here many times but never got a chance to give a review. Will definitely come back...
