A very pleasant surprise! This is a small café on the side of the road, owned by a lovely elderly couple who offers great coffee and jazz music I went just after lunch, had a coffee and waffle with my wife. A local elderly customer was super friendly and we were chatting for a while. Her and the owners were super welcoming, especially knowing we come from far away A cup of coffee is between 500~600 JPY but tastes better than anything you can buy in regular shops Next time I visit, I want to come on a Live Jazz Music Night 🌃🎷🎸🎺🪘🍰☕

ノーチラスとは、ラテン語ではオウム貝や小さな船、ギリシャ語では船舶という意味です。店内にはオウム貝や船の絵が飾られています。⁡ ⁡⁡ ⁡⁡同時に目を引くのが、カウンターに並べられたオシャレなコーヒーカップの数々。今日は暑かったのでアイスコーヒーを頼んでしまいましたが、ホットコーヒーを注文すると、好きなカップを選ぶことができます。 ジャズが流れる落ち着いた雰囲気の中でいただいたのが、看板メニューの薔薇飯（バラハン）。牛挽き肉、玉ねぎ、チーズのバラバラハンバーグです。肉汁と玉ねぎの甘さに濃厚なチーズが絡んでとても美味でした。 マスターに聞くと、何でもこの薔薇飯、元々は加山雄三さんが自身の所有するクルーズ船の乗組員のために考案したメニューだそうです。⁡ ⁡⁡ ⁡マスターは、加山雄三さんが銀座コリドー街にあるケネディハウスで月に20回ライブを行っていた頃に足しげく通い、お店で薔薇飯を出すことにお墨付きをいただいたのだとか。 月に1回、店内でジャズライブも開催されています。
