British pub Clapham Inn — Restaurant in Ashiya

A pub right next to Ashiyagawa station that reminds me of home cooking back in England. The Sunday Roast here is amazing, the price tag is completely justified by the quality beef they use, the roasted veggies were delicious, you could even ask for unlimited supply of gravy. A Pimms cocktail was perfect for a hot summer day. The staff here were so attentive and friendly. The interior of this place was pretty modern, which I didn’t expect from a British pub, but it made me feel at home. Authentic British Pub food. Everything on the menu is superb especially the Scottish Eggs as well as the Cottage Pie and the Fish & Chips. Wonderful little gem near Ashiyagawa station! Great takes on English pub food and wonderful atmosphere. Staff and owner are incredibly friendly. Great local beer on tap and changing menu. We had the appetizer platter and fish and chips for dinner and went back the next week for Yorkshire pudding sandwiches (wow!) for lunch!
