We had the "Umai-don" as part of the Donburi Gassen event in Feb. It was a moderately sized portion and tasted great! We also tried a few other things: Summer mandarin juice (very sour, fizzy) - nice, tokoroten (local cold noodle) - very refreshing and nice, sazae sashimi (big turban shell) - very hard and chewy but tasted fresh. The only thing I would recommend avoiding is the sazae in butter - it was insanely bitter and difficult to eat, possibly because it was stewed together with some part of the liver or something that is very bitter. Other tables all ordered the aji namerou don and the ika-yaki, I'd try that next time.
