Aji Aji — Restaurant in Atami

My wife and I visited Aji Aji in Ajiro, a recommendation local. We went without appointment an hour before the store open for dinner. We were glad that the chef was flexible enough to find us a table. Usually dining at their place needs appointment for dinner set. Since we showed up last minute, the chef offer to serve their lunch menu set. It was indeed very delicious. Their sashimi set was very fresh, their steam fish was one of the best Japanese style steamed fish, and their あじフライwas the best I had tried in Atami. We were glad that visited the place and now we have one more to go to place in Atami for high quality Japanese meals.we will certainly revisit for their dinner...

the restaurant is at the end of the Ajiro seaside. the fish was caught just this morning, so the sashimi is super fresh. there are only two options - both sets; one is red snapper ¥3,500 and the other is mackerel ¥3,300. 熱海の梅園で梅まつりを期待していたのですが、まだ、時期的に早かったこともあり寄るのを止めたので、熱海界隈でランチせず、こちらのお店に行ってみました。 熱海で開店時間の確認しようと電話を入れたところ、12時開店でそのまま予約となりました。 ネット見ると予約必要みたいで、反対に予約が取れて良かったです。

熱海からだと、網代漁港を抜けていった先にあります。 お店の前が駐車場。 お店に入ると、すぐ右手にテーブル席がありますが、後は、カウンター席。 私たちは、しんがりの予約だったと思うので、カウンター一番奥の席。
