Arai Sushi — Restaurant in Bando

Grossly under-rated place. Fantastic food and service. Super reasonable price for the amount of food. I happened to visit as I was driving from Tokyo to Nagano. Chanced upon this restaurant with 4.0 stars and decided to try it. Wow! It was great! An authentic Japanese restaurant with such friendly and warm owners. They couldn’t speak English and I couldn’t speak Japanese, so we google translated our way. Ordered 5 dishes and it only came up to ¥6100! If you see my photos, you’ll see that it was a full set with a main, 2 small sides and a miso soup. Sashimi was fresh, unagi was yummy, fried fish was crispy and tender at the same time. Chicken karaage portion was super generous and fries were swooped up by my kids so quickly. As we were paying, the owner gave us a discount as it was written 6500, but only charged us 6100. He gave 3 packets of beans for my 3 kids too! Also, his wife prepared us some coffee pudding that was really yummy. Overall, this was a fantastic experience with such gracious and humble owners. 久しぶりに一人でランチに訪問。 以前の雰囲気と大きく違い　笑顔で対応され　ちょっと驚き。 身体がでかい私に合わせてか　大盛りを頼んだら　超大盛りで出してくれて　コミニケーションも円滑でした。 こっちが普段の姿なのかな？　近いうちにまたきてみなくては　と思った久しぶりの再訪問でした。

初めて行きました。 大きな建物のお寿司屋さんです。

お昼時でランチメニューのちらし寿司をオーダーしました。 ちらし寿司は味もしっかりしていて、お刺身類や卵焼き、かまぼこなどもあります。 他に小皿2皿(この日は昆布巻きと漬物)が付き、しじみ汁もあります。 更に、お茶はもちろん、食後のコーヒーも付いて、このお値段で満足ですね。

持ち帰りの海鮮丼店も、市内にはありますが、値段があまり変わらないのでコスパは最高です。
