Italian cafe Abete — Restaurant in Biei

Best mark for one of the best Italian food in Hokkaido (in Japan?), although the circumstances were clearly not favorable. We booked for 7:30pm, that is 30 min before the last order time (8pm). We were not clearly explained to order everything including the desserts and drinks (glasses of wine) before 8pm. When we realized that they might be a bit rigid on this topic, it was 8:05pm and were not able to order anything more, even politely. It was a NO., sorry, last order is last order. Clearly disturbing, never faced such a grotesque situation, that is the summit of Japanese legendary psychorigidity ...anyway, good...

A small cozy restaurant with only 10 seats. We were lucky to get a table without reservation. The lady told us the service would be slow but we didnt have to wait for our food that long. Their homemade pasta is to die for, even thought I do not like the meatball. We ordered their special pizza which is crab cream pizza, taste like gratin but really tasty. As a good Italian, I decided to try all the Italian style restaurant of Japan. The Abete restaurant was delightful and know how to make pasta and pizza. When I ate this food, I remember all the souvenirs from when I was a child in la casa with my mamasita. This restaurant is like my madeleine de Proust....
