Hotel Lavenir Biei — Hotel in Biei

Stayed here during my trip to the Biei-Furano area for 3 nights. I must say that this hotel was amongst the cheaper options in the area, though still pricey by hotel standards. Located within 3 mins walk to the Biei JR station and served by a number of buses including Furano Lavender bus that connects you from Asahikawa Airport if you are arriving from there. The bus runs throughout the year and payment is with the standard method across Japan. Access to Furano is easily done by train, which is cheaper, do check out the train timings to plan your trips.||||For a starters the room was larger than in an average hotel in Japan. I opt for a triple room and there was still space to move about freely. Usual amenities available in the hotel, though there is a lack of microwave which would have been useful to heat up bentos or packed food.||||This hotel is located in a nice quiet town that generally have shops closing at about 5-6pm. A supermarket is located on the other side of the train tracks if food is required after restaurant hours. 7-11 is conveniently located 5 mins away.||||Breakfast was a great spread made with local produce, together with a small salad bar. One the best breakfasts I've had during my trip.||||The hotel can be easily booked in advance over email, and they work on the trust system where you do not pay ahead and they'd confirm your reservation a couple of days before your date of arrival. I'd suggest making a reservation as soon as you confirm your plans as the hotel has no more than 20 over rooms. During peak season it is usually filled with locals with a couple of tourists.||||Would definitely stay at this hotel again if...

Hotel just right in Biei town area and although is a very small town but is very good & convenient location (Just next to Biei train station 🚉 & Michi-no-Eki)Parking 🅿️is free although walk in dark quiet night but is safe. (Just 5min walk from parking 🅿️ to hotel lobby)Room is very spacious & comfortable. when booking with trip.com we requested 2 pillow each bed but they was forgotten So we have to request from front desk the staff immediately give us another extra pillow. The staff was very polite & nice. And it was so warm to me as I was mistaken book a smoking room but did request for balcony Mountain View, luckily they email me & remind on which my room type so immediately we can respond don’t mind to pay extra money for nonsmoking & balcony room But they free to change our room without any extra cost. The buffet breakfast is very delicious 😋 Hotel got electric bicycle 🚲 just pay 600yen/hrIs very enjoyable cycling 🚴♀️ around hotel nearby We will definitely come back & stay...

This is rural Japan so you shouldn’t expect high levels of English. The staff are helpful and friendly if you’re patient and smile. Rooms are clean and large. There is a small balcony with special balcony shoes but there are no seats. |The restaurant/cafe is open for lunch and dinner but not during the afternoon for coffee and cake. There is a well stocked souvenir shop and convenience store attached. There is not much for a tourist to do in Biei itself. We went out of town to visit local gardens...
