I would strongly advise anyone from Taiwan not to visit this establishment. The service was, frankly, unfriendly and lacking in the most basic courtesy. I personally witnessed a mainland Chinese guest asking about wasabi, only for the staff to rather rudely cross their arms in an “X” gesture, despite it being clearly listed on the menu. When I ordered, certain dishes arrived composed almost entirely of fatty meat. Upon raising the issue, I was blatantly ignored. Ordering again led to yet more fatty cuts being served, which felt quite deliberate. The entire experience was utterly poor—truly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Had a great dining experience at Gyushige (Fujikyu Highland Mae)! The staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and the value for money is excellent.

The menu is English-friendly, and the electronic ordering system is seamless and very efficient—our food arrived quickly after ordering. The quality of the food was impressive, especially the meats and side dishes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.

The food and place is great (not too crowded and there’s good ventilation for bbque smoke). However, the staff are a little aggressive when it comes to ordering food. We were immediately asked if we want a la carte or unlimited food without giving us the Menu. Perhaps it was just a problem in translation.
