There were many foreign customers, perhaps because this restaurant is introduced in foreign guidebooks, but I, as a Japanese, was so embarrassed by the poor taste of this restaurant that I felt sorry for the foreigners.
Tasteless.
I know it is cooked at low temperature, but the gibier was half raw? The grilled chicken was also served with either sauce or salt. They didn't ask me whether the yakitori should be served with sauce or salt, and all the tsukune came out with salt. If the yakitori with salt tasted good, it would be fine, but I don't care if the salt used was "from ⚪︎⚪︎" or some such excuse, some parts had salt and some did not, and it tasted bad. (The tsukune, for example, tasted particularly bad, not much different from the tsukune sticks at a certain convenience store.) I asked them to grill it again with tare, but instead of "remaking" it, they just removed the salt from the top and baked it with tare on it. (I'm pretty sure it was the same shaped meat, which I also took a picture of.) The sauce that was re-baked was not at all like the slightly burnt part of the yakitori, probably because it was only re-baked for a short time, and it looked like it was just tossed in the sauce. They made a lot of excuses. They seemed to have no desire to serve a delicious dish.
I cannot recommend this...

Wanna crave something for the nights and happened to find this restaurant walks away from the hotel. Food ordered and umeshu were really nice!! There is a waiter who’s very good looking&speak fluent English😂 that adds on 1 more 🌟 to this restaurant hahaha. Definitely will try again during next visit...
Read moreThis new restaurant uses only local produce and has quite a different menu and very fairly priced ! It's a must try.
My favourites were the oven baked trout, the mountain yam which you grind yourself with a mortar and pestle then can eat with rice, the sirloin steak and the yakitori skewers.
Ask for Tomo who is the owner.
