This place has gotten mixed reviews from others, but I recommend it.

I was actually really taken aback by the wonderful quality of the Futami Burger here, the staff should be proud. Delish! The patty had just the right texture; almost crumbly yet still firm and with a rich meaty taste that's doesn't get buried under the mayo and dressings. The bun was crispy and I dunno - perhaps it was just that I was starving at the time but I fully enjoyed every bite and am still thinking about that burger as I write this. I was expecting a disappointingly small and meager tourist-trap excuse-for-a-burger but it was big and decent value for money. Fries were essentially McDonald's fries, but you can get ketchup and mustard free at least. The Garlic Shrimp dish was also yum. The shrimp was juicy and though a little pricy at 1300 it was sizeable. It's definitely a chili-lovers dish though. Buttery, a bit sweet but mostly 🌶️🌶️🌶️. They've used something a bit warmer than cayenne I think and I personally highly enjoyed it but the Japanese couple sitting next to me were hacking at the Scoville level and having less of a pleasant experience, so if you're sensitive to heat you best give it a miss. Burger was the winner of the day for me.

The entrancing sound and view of the ocean was of course another reason to go and I saw seating outside for the summer. I've read other comments saying the service was slow but my experience was quite the opposite. Bear in mind I went on a quiet and windy day at the tail-end of a national holiday weekend. I don't think I'd like to battle the crowds coming here...

Great place for lunch. I stopped after driving from Sasebo, spending time taking in the sights of Itoshima. This location is a standout highlight!! There’s some parking and i chanced upon a park and explored the SurfSide cafe menu. The Hamburg and Fried Prawn (ebi) plate with salad, rice and pasta salad was just delish! You can choose to sit inside from the wind or if not so windy the outside covered seaview deck or the cabana’s that were all just great. Food quality was excellent as were the views of Palm Beach!! Great lunch place...

Wonderful fast food joint serving better than fast food quality food! It’s like a US diner with a lovely outdoor balcony with full ocean view. Perfect place to relax over a beer and some fries! Amenities like restrooms are super clean and if you dine there you also get two tokens for two hours of free parking at the lot there. We would love to...
