Sawayaka — Restaurant in Fukuroi

I had lunch on Sunday. Their hamburgers are very famous, and because it's a popular restaurant, you need to make a reservation. If you come on the weekend without a reservation, you'll probably have to wait quite a while. You make your reservation at the restaurant's reservation machine at 10am. The restaurant is a 10-minute taxi ride from Fukuroi Station.

I ordered the popular genkotsu hamburger lunch (250g) for 1,540 yen, and a set with rice and coffee for 530 yen.

OMG, this place was so good! I was taken here by my host family the past weekend. The medium charcoal hamburger is really juicy, and the sauce gave it a nice additional flavor. The roll was also hot and fresh. It was really satisfying and worth the long wait.

磐田・浜松数店舗・掛川店でも食べたけど、ここが一番美味しい、とは元々思っていた。

で、それを実感したエピソード。

年間で10回以上はさわやかに行く我が家。いつも美味しいけど、その時は珍しく中が赤くなかった。テーブルで半分に切った時点でいつもと色が違う。お店の人がナイフで押し潰した時も、見るからに固そう。食べてみたらやっぱり中まで焼けてた。これはげんこつハンバーグではない(笑)

すごく混んでた時だった(焼き場もてんてこ舞いだろう)し、今まで何十回も来てて初めてのことだし、まぁこんなこともあるよね、と通りかかったスタッフさんに交換を頼む。忙しいのにごめん(汗)

「俺はいいよ…」と遠慮する旦那。子供は「いつものがいい」と私と共に交換を希望。

焼き直したハンバーグは店長さん(らしき人)が持って来てくれた。店長さん(らしき人)直々に仕上げてもらい、さらにすごく丁寧に謝罪してもらってこちらが恐縮。焼き直してもらったハンバーグはいつも通り美味しかった。

ここまでが前置きで、本題は次に(3週間後くらい？)来店した時のこと。

美味しく頂き、会計に立ったところ、こないだの店長さん(らしき人)が出て来てくれて、「本日はご来店ありがとうございます。先日は誠に申し訳ございませんでした。本日の商品のお味はいかがでしたでしょうか。(言い回しちょっと違うかも)」と挨拶してくれてびっくり。

やっぱりチェーン店でも店長さんの姿勢次第で味は変わるんだなぁ、と実感した出来事でした。

多分店長さんだと思うんだけど、痩せ型でちょっと小柄で、腰が低くて丁寧な年配の男性でした。
