"Urota" located about an 8-minute walk from Fukushima Station.
Fukushima is famous for its ramen, and Urota is one of the most famous ramen restaurants in Fukushima.
I had been wanting to go there for a long time, so I fulfilled my long-cherished wish to visit the restaurant.
I ordered "Concrete Noodle (¥850)", a limited quantity ramen. This ramen is characterized by the fact that the dried soup stock is so thick that it has turned muddy black color.
When it is actually brought to you, you will be overwhelmed by its impact. The soup is thick and really thick... One sip will fill your mouth with a deep flavor, as if you have taken a bite of niboshi (dried sardines). The finely chopped onions are a refreshing and just right accent. You can also enjoy a refreshing and slightly different flavor by pouring on the niboshi vinegar, vinegar infused with the broth of dried sardines. It was quite delicious.
The restaurant is so clean and spacious that it is hard to believe it is a ramen shop, so I recommend going there with girls. If you are ever in Fukushima, please visit this...
Read moreIt’s famous in fukushima prov. A lot of people order torisoba with shouyu. Maby it’s a signature of this restaurant? I ordered tsukesoba and I think I do like it more than torisoba with shoyu. It’s different taste. Torisoba shoyu will come with a light flavor and a thin noodle. It’s really easy to eat. For tsukesoba the flavor gonna be like sweet and a bit salty and a little bit savory. Not too strong since it doesn’t put in noodles directly.
I do prefer tsukesoba tho! If you are around here, i do recommend this...
Read moreYou can enjoy new style of ramen here. When I last time visited, I chose Italian style ramen which had olive oil in the broth and basil leaves on the top. When the ramen was served in front of me, honestly I was wondering if it would be wonderful but of course, It was so good. They know how to match western ingredients to Japanese ramen. This ramen shop is always crowded and in most cases you have to be in a queue for maybe 20 minutes. I strongly recommend you visiting the shop at 11:00,...
