Ippudo — Restaurant in Gifu

Whenever i get gyoza cravings, I come here. Best no-frills gyoza in my opinion.

Ramen (red bowl) is a hit or miss. Like a third of the time i get the red bowl ramen (i forgot the Japanese name), it’s too salty. But yeah, pretty decent “fast food” ramen, excellent gyoza.

Only alcoholic drinks can be ordered. There’s free cold tea at the table.

It’s got fast food vibes for the homeward student or employee wanting to get a quick bite before continuing...

Had their Limited-time Tsukemen here. Absolutely filling! Taste was very good...broth was very thick and flavorful. The thick noodles had a good chew in them too!

Finally the staff gives you broth to mix in with the leftover Tsukemen broth to dilute it so it can be sipped....

Broth is weak and not as pictured. Expensive as it’s not fresh. Everything is premade and then thrown together. I get that it’s express but I was expecting something more close than to the standard Ippudo. Just travel to Ippudo in Nagoya or eat at other ramen...
