teech — Restaurant in Ginowan

I went for the lunch buffet today and the restaurant was no more than 10% full and I was refused entry. The man said it was reservation only! This is a lie. I was staying at the connecting hotel which I highly recommend! Note the restaurant and the hotel aren’t the same company. After I was refused entry I went and spoke with the hotel staff and they called the restaurant and suddenly I was allowed to enter. I had been there about half an hour and the same man came up to me basically saying “hurry up, I have guests waiting” I said I hadn’t finished about 3 times as he kept asking me to repeat myself! He came over on a power trip and was unhappy with my response! I looked around and there were always at least 5 tables free, so no need for him to say anything. You could tell he was unhappy that I was in there and that I went and asked the hotel to help me. He was even rude when I was paying and he didn’t say a word but made a grunting noise at me, so I paid and nodded my head and didn’t say a word. I would never go back there again if this man is working and I would ask for his manager to have a word with him about lying and being rude to customers. I understand working in the service industry can be stressful but to blatantly lie about having a reservation only policy is terrible practice which I doubt his higher ups are aware of. I hope the management read my honest review and maybe give him some training to teach him that being a liar is a bad for business and in general life. But being a proven liar I’m sure he will lie to management about this incident, that’s why I’m writing it in the same day it happened.
