Marukyu Ramen — Restaurant in Ginowan

Have been to a decent ammount of places in Okinawa, this is the first time I feel like leaving a review.

After having been to Fukuoka, I've been only looking for Hakata/Pork Tonkotsu places in Okinawa. This is definitely reminiscent of the ramen shops in Fukuoka.

First off parking may seem like a hastle, but the owner will come out and most likely direct you to an available space. The parking is a small area right next to the restaurant. Folks living on Camp Foster and MCAS Futenma can definitely make the walk here.

Atmosphere is pretty cool and again, resembles the small bar-style shops in Fuk.

Workers can speak a decent ammount of English and were very very helpful and friendly, helped us when we came in and when we left.

Food was fast and good. Me and a buddy ordered the B Set that comes with gyoza, rice and ramen. Broth was rich and hot. Noodles were thin and the Chashu pork was tender and flavorful.

Payment wise, I didn't see any credit card options so I recommend bringing yen or they can...

The ramen is excellent and full of umami, just don't wait until the soup cools down. Fried rice is kind of greasy especially the bottom of the bowl is covered with oils.

Staff will proactively ask you if you need an English menu and serve you right away when you take a seat.

You can smell the Tonkotsu out the restaurant, gotta say if you have never tried it before, you'll probably be...

豚骨ベースに1000円スタートでトッピングで金額が変わっていきます。 せっかくなので全部乗せ(1850円くらい)にしました

久留米ラーメン、初めて食べました。 濃厚豚骨なのに後味がさらりとした味わいスープでおいしい😋 チャーシューもホルモンもワンタンもぷるぷるで柔らかい✨ 有明海苔はスープに沈めるとスープの熱さで溶けていき、麺と絡みあって最高でした。途中で味変更用の調味料もたくさん。生にんにくもありました。麺の硬さも選べます。替え玉もOK。 餃子は肉餃子って感じで肉汁たっぷり！

美人の若女将さんが丁寧に説明、困ってそうであれば声かけをしてくれました。率先して声かけして働く姿、めっちゃカッコよかったです。店内に自然で活気のある店員さん同士の声が響くのがとても心地良いです。 2才の子どもと入りましたが、席に着くともう麺切り用のはさみや取り分け器、お水にストローが入ってたりウェットティッシュがあったりと、細かな配慮がされててとても嬉しかったです✨🫶

気になった点はやはり駐車場の点ではありますが、それでもここはラーメン屋なのでと味を確かめた上で今後も応援したいなと思ったお店でした。
