Maple Cafe — Restaurant in Hitachi

Sorry to say that, As a foreigner living in Hitachi City for the past 3 years and visiting various restaurants around, This is one of the WORST restaurant in this City,

No business ethics and manners for treating the customers. Of course they have a good view from the restaurant but the way they treating the customers is Poor .

Recent experience is that, we ( family)made a reservation for lunch but when we arrived before there closing and last order, they cannot accept us .

The other local restaurant in Hitachi-shi are very much welcoming and the food is much better there

Food is fair though not outstanding. Problem is the service: slow, unprofessional: this is what happens when you hire high school students. The waiter made a mistake in our order and forgot to bring sugar with the coffee. The view is quite pretty if you're lucky enough to have a seat on the terrace. Not great but ok. 2024.3.2 大みか駅から歩いて20〜30分。歩道も広く歩きやすいです。お店のテラス席は犬同伴でも利用できます。目の前に公園もあり、小山からの眺めは最高です。階段を下ればすぐ目の前に、久慈浜の海が広がります。

テラス席に座り、一人での利用でしたが、注文やお会計はお店の中に入って、呼びに行かなくてはいけない点は、ちょっと面倒でした。人手が足りないなら、仕方ないですけどね。

ランチメニューは、あまり種類がありません。ご飯物が食べたかったのですが、お目当ての物がありませんでした。チキンステーキとかハンバーグがあるといいな。

なので、グラタンにしました。意外とボリュームがあり、お腹いっぱいになりました。美味しかったですが、あの量だと飽きるかも。グラタンとパンorスープなどにしてもらえると嬉しいです。最後まで温かかったのは良かったです。けどコーヒーは出された時から温かったw
