ise local cuisine DAIKI — Restaurant in Ise

If you want to try famous Ise Ebi dishes, Daiki is the right place. The moment I step in, I was already ushered to my seat and got the superb service and recommendation.

I got the full Ise Ebi course meal (3.5 Ise Ebi) that 5 dishes of Ise Ebi, appetizer, soup and dessert.

Ise Ebi Sashimi is the star of this course meal. You must try it. Its sweet, soft and freshness makes you enjoy it each bite. The rest of the Ise Ebi dishes are quite good too.

It is quite hefty but Ise Ebi is not an everyday meal and its also seasonal, you can only eat in specific period of the year. They are not allowed to be catch between May to September. So I was lucky to be there on the right...

The service at Daiki is excellent and friendly. The location is very close to the train station, making it a convenient location. Menus available in English, credit cards accepted, and staff speaks some English, too. More about the service: they timed everything perfectly, bringing the next courses just on time. The good itself was very beautifully prepared and of high quality, everything here is fresh, local and seasonal. You must try the Ise Ebi (spiny lobster from the area), but even if you want to spend less you can find...

I had lunch there on a weekday. The restaurant was next to the station which was easy to find.

I ordered an Ise lobster set which costed around 8,800 yen. I chose sashimi and it was fresh and delicious, though the portion was not big.

The set came with other side dishes and they were alright. Overall I think it's a bit pricey but the quality of the lobster was good so I was still very satisfied...
