Ichi Nii San Kokubu store — Restaurant in Kirishima

Good food! Good wagyu and black hair pork (黒豚)! Good shabu shabu しゃぶしゃぶ。But very poor service by the waitress like other gaijin (foreigners) had mentioned in the review. The restaurant is well designed inside and outside. They offer a great variety of dishes from wagyu and kurobuta - steam, shabu shabu, or grill. The quantity of their meal set is just right. In our case, we finished our set meals for 15 minutes and was about to ask for the check/bill. Then the waitress said “oh, you still have a rice dish and miso soup. Do you want it?” It was so bad - did it ever occur to her she needs to bring it out to the customers?? Good food! Good quality!...

I hardly give review like this. We were waiting for over 1 hour from 6pm. There were customers finished during the hour and we checked there were plenty of empty tables can fit us... but no one (lots were waiting) was called... so disappointed with their ignorance and vustomer service skill and style... if you need to wait. If you love pork, this is a must visit. Kagoshima is known for their Kurobuta. Melt in the mouth pork slices. High quality ingredients. We had sukiyaki, very tasty side dishes. Cook the udon noodles after you finish the pork and the springy noodles was heaven. Reservations are recommended as they can get very packed...
